About Eleanor

I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist with more than 10 years of clinical experience. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Oregon, specializing in Couples and Family Therapy. Before that, I studied Psychology and Spanish at Lewis & Clark College and completed additional training in Latin American Family Therapy. Throughout my work, I’ve been especially interested in how people grow and thrive through their relationships, always viewing challenges within the bigger picture of connection and community.

Philosophy and Approach

I believe every person has innate worth and the ability to create meaningful change in their life. My role as a therapist is to walk alongside you—whether you’re an individual, couple, or family—and support you in moving toward the life you want. Because we don’t live in isolation, I often encourage including important members of your support system when it feels helpful. Working together in this way often makes change deeper and more lasting.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. I value your unique perspective and see therapy as a process of uncovering your own wisdom while building new tools along the way. In the beginning, we’ll focus on understanding what’s bringing you to therapy and imagining what life might feel like without those challenges. From there, we’ll set clear, realistic goals and draw on your existing strengths to move toward them.

I blend evidence-based practices—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy—with experiential and solution-focused approaches, always tailoring sessions to your specific needs.

Therapy ends when you feel you’ve gotten what you came for—whether that’s new ways of coping, stronger relationships, or a greater sense of resilience and well-being. Some people find what they need in just a few sessions, while others prefer more time. However long your journey, I’ll be here to provide support, guidance, and encouragement along the way.
